Softball Recap: Pocahontas County Warriors vs. Bath County Chargers
Pocahontas County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 9-8 heartbreaker at the hands of the Bath County Chargers. The Warriors were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Chargers earlier this season, when they won 14-13.
Cadence Kerr spent all 7.1 innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and five unearned) runs on eight hits and racked up nine Ks. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 5.8 strikeouts per game.
