Softball Recap: Shawnee Takes a Loss

Monday just wasn't the day for Shawnee's offense. They lost 11-0 to the Elida Bulldogs on Monday. The matchup marked the first time this year in which the Indians were not able to get on the board.

Shawnee saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Riley Rhodes, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one double.

Shawnee's loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 5-6. As for Elida, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 6-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Shawnee will host Jefferson at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Elida, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Ottawa-Glandorf at 5:30 p.m.
