Basketball Recap: Clarke Takes a Loss

Clarke was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were outmatched by the Clarinda Cardinals and fell 82-50. The Indians were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Cardinals apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

Clarke's defeat dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Clarinda, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-7 record this season.

Clarke wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, an 80-43 loss against Albia on the 24th. As for Clarinda, they will challenge Adair-Casey/Guthrie Center at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. One thing working in Adair-Casey/Guthrie Center's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
