Mountain Crest hadn't done well against Davis recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. The Mustangs narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Darts 2-1. This was payback for the Mustangs, who suffered a 3-0 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Annie Barber paced Mountain Crest's offense, picking up nine kills. Barber got some help from Makell Crofts and her 24 assists. Charlotte Worley controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

The win got Mountain Crest back to even at 8-8. As for Davis, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-9 record this season.

Mountain Crest has already played their next game, a 3-1 victory against Hunter on the 6th. As for Davis, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-1 win against Westlake on the 6th.
