It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Hartford had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Peoples Academy Wolves with a sharp 10-2 win. The victory was nothing new for the Hurricanes as they're now sitting on five straight.

Carter Williams was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing three innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one run and one RBI. He is becoming a predictor of Hartford's success: when he posts at least three hits the team is undefeated (and 4-6 when he doesn't).

In other batting news, Solly Flores was a standout: he went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. Hartford is undefeated when Flores posts two or more runs, but 3-6 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Hugh Wendling, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

Hartford always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .559. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Hartford now has a winning record of 7-6. As for Peoples Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3.

As of now, neither Hartford nor the Wolves have any future games scheduled.
