Preview: Cadott Hornets vs. McDonell Central Macks
Cadott is 0-10 against McDonell Central since January of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Cadott Hornets will stay at home for another game and welcome the McDonell Central Macks at 7:15 p.m. on January 26th. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Last Tuesday, Cadott didn't have too much trouble with Stanley-Boyd at home as they won 56-41. The win was just what Cadott needed coming off of a 66-34 defeat in their prior contest.
Emma Kowalczyk and Taylor Hager were among the main playmakers for Cadott as the former scored 13 points along with four steals and the latter scored 13 points along with seven assists and six steals. Hager hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. Kennedy Nerdrum was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
Meanwhile, McDonell Central stacked a 14th blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 62-35 victory over Bloomer on the road. Given McDonell Central's advantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 14th, while Bloomer is ranked 207th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Cadott has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-8 record this season. As for McDonell Central, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 17-1.
