Newark is 9-1 against Lancaster since January of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Newark Wildcats will head out to challenge the Lancaster Golden Gales at 7:30 p.m. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

On Tuesday, Newark had to suffer through a 62-29 loss at the hands of Reynoldsburg. The game marked the Wildcats' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Meanwhile, Lancaster unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell just short of Canal Winchester by a score of 43-40.

Lancaster's loss dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Newark, they suffered their first road defeat, dropping their record down to 9-3.

Everything came up roses for Newark against Lancaster when the teams last played back in December of 2024, as the team secured a 67-32 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Newark since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
