Knoxville Christian had won three straight games dating back to last season and Peyton Smith did her part to make it four on Tuesday. Knoxville Christian put the hurt on Paideia Academy with a sharp 3-0 victory for which the team can thank Smith, who had 12 digs and three aces. Smith is crushing it when it comes to aces: she's served at least three every time she's taken the court this season.

While Knoxville Christian won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The final score came out to 25-17, 25-23, 25-15.

Knoxville Christian's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Paideia Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Knoxville Christian will challenge rival Mount Pisgah Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Paideia Academy is set to take on their familiar foe Temple Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
