Basketball Game Preview: Booker Tornadoes vs. Port Charlotte Pirates

The Booker Tornadoes and the Port Charlotte Pirates will compete for holiday cheer at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. One thing working in Booker's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four matchups.

Booker is headed into the game having just posted their biggest victory since February 8th on Thursday. They breezed by Imagine School at North Port to the tune of 67-35.

Among those leading the charge was J.P Lattimore, who posted 17 points. That's the most points he has posted since back in December of 2023. Another player making a difference was Darius Behn, who earned 12 points.

Meanwhile, Port Charlotte came tearing into Saturday's contest with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 12.8 points) and they left with even more momentum. They snuck past the Buccaneers with a 48-42 win.

Booker is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 3-3 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.5 points per game. As for Port Charlotte, their victory bumped their record up to 6-2.
