Volleyball Recap: Straughn Starts off Right with Win over Brantley

Straughn took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Brantley Bulldogs. The Tigers haven't had any issues with the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Straughn walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the second set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-9, 25-19.

Audrey Lindsey paced Straughn's offense, picking up eight kills. Lindsey got some help from Abby Driver and her eight assists. Mckena Bailey controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Straughn will welcome Geneva at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Brantley, they have already played their next game, a 2-1 defeat against Samson on the 23rd.
