Basketball Recap: Rockdale Takes a Loss

Rockdale lost against Rogers back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The contest between the Rockdale Tigers and the Rogers Eagles didn't end well, with the Rockdale Tigers falling 53-35.

Rogers' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Layla Walker led the charge by putting up 12 points and three steals. That's the most points Walker has posted since back in December of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Kyra Yates, who scored nine points and four steals.

Rockdale has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which has put a noticeable dent in their 13-17 record this season. As for Rogers, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-12 record this season.

Rockdale does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Rogers, they have already played their next contest, a 48-40 victory against Teague on the 10th.
