Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Myers Park). Their defense stepped up to hand the Palisades Pumas a 10-0 shutout on Tuesday. It was an even better day for Elizabeth Dillard as she scored three goals for her team.

Myers Park has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 3-5-1 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 18 goals over those four matches. Palisades dropped their record down to 1-5 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.

Myers Park and Palisades could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps North Carolina Rankings.
