Houston County entered their tilt with Veterans on Saturday with nine consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with ten. They enjoyed a cozy 61-46 victory over the Veterans Warhawks. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 56-39 two weeks ago.

Leading Houston County to victory were Malik Gillespie and Kam Plummer. Gillespie went 8 for 10 en route to 19 points in addition to six assists and three steals, while Plummer went 8 of 11 on his way to 22 points and five rebounds. Those 22 points gave Plummer a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Braylin Mills, who went 5 for 6 en route to 11 points and six boards.

Several Warhawks players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jaivyon Dawson, who posted six points. Jaleel Basley was another key player, putting up eight points.

Houston County is on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 18-4 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.0 points per game. As for Veterans, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 12-8.
