Baseball Recap: Bergen Tech Drops Season-High Score on Paramus

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Bergen Tech). They came out on top against the Paramus Spartans by a score of 7-2 on Thursday. That's more bragging rights for the Knights, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Bergen Tech got a big performance out of Harssh Ramayanam Venkkat, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3. Another player making a difference was Jake Burke, who went 1-for-2 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Bergen Tech was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .407. The last time their batting average was this high was back in May of 2024.

Bergen Tech's win bumped their record up to 2-6. As for Paramus, they now have a losing record of 4-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bergen Tech will host Bergenfield at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Paramus, they will face off against Rutherford at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Spartans' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bulldogs have averaged an impressive 10.1 runs per game this season.
