The McKenzie Rebels's road trip will continue as they head out to face the West Carroll War Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in McKenzie's favor is that they have posted at least 31 points in their last six matches.

Last Friday, everything came up roses for McKenzie against Giles County as the team secured a 47-14 win. Given the Rebels' advantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee football rankings (they are ranked 50th, while the Bobcats are ranked 165th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

It was another big night for Tate Surber, who rushed for 95 yards and three touchdowns on only 11 carries, and also threw for 234 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 11.7 yards per attempt.

McKenzie pushed their record up to 9-0 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for West Carroll, they now have a winning record of 5-4.

Everything came up roses for McKenzie against West Carroll in their previous meeting back in October of 2023, as the squad secured a 42-13 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for McKenzie since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
