Volleyball Recap: Chippewa Gets the Win

Chippewa hadn't done well against Triway recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Chipps walked away with a 3-1 win over the Titans. For the Chipps, this counts as revenge for the 3-2 victory the Titans walked away with the last time they faced one another back in September of 2024.

Chippewa had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 24-26, 25-21, 25-23, 25-18.

Bree Regan paced Chippewa's offense, picking up 25 kills. Regan got some help from Margaret Fulton and her 28 assists. Regan also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Rory Petit, each putting up two.

Despite the loss, Triway still got an impressive performance from Reagan Underwood, who had 24 digs and four assists. Underwood has been hot, having posted 11 or more digs the last five times she's played.

Chippewa's win bumped their record up to 9-7. As for Triway, their loss ended a five-match streak of away wins and brought them to 13-5.

Chippewa didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-2 victory against Hillsdale on the 30th. As for Triway, they will venture away from home to square off against Tuslaw at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
