Baseball Game Preview: St. James Tigers vs. Union Wildcats

The St. James Tigers will square off against the Union Wildcats at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The timing isn't great for St. James: they have been struggling with nine straight losses at home dating back to last season, while Union has snatched up six consecutive wins on the road.

St. James took a 11-run loss the last time they faced off against Belle, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. St. James came out on top in a nail-biter against Belle on Tuesday, sneaking past 3-2.

Jesse Hudson spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on three hits.

On the hitting side, Charles McCormick was excellent, going 1-for-3 with one home run. That home run marked the first that he has launched this season.

Meanwhile, Union unfortunately witnessed the end of their ten-game winning streak on Wednesday. They fell 6-3 to Blair Oaks.

St. James' win bumped their record up to 2-11. As for Union, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-4.
