The Goshen Warriors are taking a road trip to face off against the Badin Rams at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
On Wednesday, Goshen earned a 14-10 victory over Sycamore. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Warriors.

Bali Parks and Skye Shaw made a big impact while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Parks tossed four innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off three hits. Meanwhile, Shaw tossed 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. What's more, Parks posted three strikeouts, the most she's had since back in March. At bat, Parks went 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI, while Shaw went 2-for-4 with one home run, four runs, and four RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Macee Stelle, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. Journey Combs was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two runs.
Goshen hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least four batters in three consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Badin made easy work of Bishop Fenwick on Tuesday and carried off a 7-1 win. The Rams might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 14 contests by six runs or more this season.
Like Goshen, Badin also got a great game from a two-way player: Kendall P.. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out seven over four innings pitched. P. has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.
In other pitching news, Phebe Kiefer looked comfortable as she tossed three innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in ten consecutive appearances.
Back at the plate, Mattie Canupp was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Emily O'Brien, who went 2-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double.
Goshen's record is now 11-6. As for Badin, their record now sits at 18-5.
Thursday's matchup will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Goshen hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .313. However, it's not like Badin struggles in that department as they've averaged .390. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Goshen suffered a grim 12-2 defeat to Badin in their previous matchup back in May of 2021. Can the Warriors avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
