Basketball Recap: Otis-Bison Takes a Loss

Otis-Bison was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They fell 57-48 to the LaCrosse Leopards. Sadly, that's the third time they've come up short against the Cougars this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 46-40 last Friday.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead LaCrosse to victory, but perhaps none more so than Lee Holopirek, who went 6 of 14 on his way to 20 points and seven assists. With that strong performance, Holopirek is now averaging an impressive 15.2 points per game. Christian Rush was another key player, going 5 for 11 en route to 15 points along with five rebounds and three steals.

Otis-Bison's loss dropped their record down to 5-7. As for LaCrosse, their win bumped their record up to 7-4.

Otis-Bison didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 47-18 defeat against Dighton on the 28th. As for LaCrosse, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 52-37 loss against St. John on the 30th.
