Columbia has gone 9-1 against Emmett recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Wildcats will be playing at home against the Huskies at 5:30 p.m. Columbia has given up an average of 10.5 runs per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

On Tuesday, Columbia came up short against Nampa and fell 14-11.

Aidan Chatterton and Marcus DeLeon stepped up to the plate in a big way. Chatterton scored four runs while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances, while DeLeon scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances. Parker Harrison was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances.

Meanwhile, Emmett was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of Skyview.

Columbia has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-12 record this season. As for Emmett, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-14.

Everything went Columbia's way against Emmett in their previous matchup on Friday, as Columbia made off with a 9-0 win. Do the Wildcats have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Huskies turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
