Basketball Recap: Legion Collegiate Academy's Luck Changes for the Better on Saturday

Legion Collegiate Academy needed a changed in momentum after dropping seven straight games and they got it from Isaiah Worley. In a tight contest that could have gone either way, the Legion Collegiate Academy Lancers made off with a 78-77 victory over the Walhalla Razorbacks thanks in part to Worley, who dropped a double-double on 26 points and ten boards. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in points.

Legion Collegiate Academy's win ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-11. As for Walhalla, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-11.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Legion Collegiate Academy will take on Palmetto Christian Academy in a holiday battle at at 2:00 p.m. on Monday. Legion Collegiate Academy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 54 points per game this season. As for Walhalla, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Chapman at 6:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025.
