Baseball Game Preview: Foster Falcons vs. Alief Elsik Rams

The Foster Falcons will take on the Alief Elsik Rams at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Alief Elsik took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Foster, who comes in off a win.

While Foster's victory against George Ranch wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. Foster skirted past George Ranch 11-10. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Falcons have posted since February 28th.

Brayden Stringer was incredible, going 1-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Hunter Maddox, who scored a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Meanwhile, Alief Elsik scored the most runs they've had this season on Thursday, but it wasn't enough. They came up short against Alief Hastings, falling 19-9.

Christian Holloway made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while going 3-for-3. Anthony Dominguez was another key player, scoring two runs while going 1-for-4.

Foster is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-10-1 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.3 runs over those games. Alief Elsik's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 2-11.
