Recap: Grand Junction Central Warriors vs. Silver Creek Raptors
After flying high against the Mitchell Marauders last Saturday, the Grand Junction Central Warriors came back down to earth. Grand Junction Central suffered a rough 53-31 defeat at the hands of Silver Creek on Thursday. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Grand Junction Central has scored all season.
Despite the loss, Grand Junction Central still got an impressive performance from Ryland Nostrand, who scored eight points along with three steals. Those three steals set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Camren Redding, who scored eight points along with three steals.
Grand Junction Central struggled to work together and finished the game with only four assists. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.
Silver Creek found their leader in underclassman Luke Schmeeckle, who scored 16 points. The matchup was Schmeeckle's fifth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Mike Falk, who scored 12 points.
Grand Junction Central has been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-4 record this season. As for Silver Creek, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 6-0.
