The biggest upset of the week belonged to Westminster Academy, who took down 399th ranked Coral Springs Charter, 42-14. Ray Sharp threw for 207 yards and two touchdowns, ran for three yards and caught one passes for 10 yards in the win.
The Lions moved up to 387 from 419 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Southeastern - North. Westminster Academy was able to make move up by beating the Panthers 42-14.
Andrew James was the best wideout in the league this week as Jake Sorg's team bested Coral Springs Charter. James tallied five receptions for 123 yards. Zack Tilbrook helped Westminster Academy's passing attack out by catching two balls for 42 yards.
Zach Smlth provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Pine Crest defeated John Carroll Catholic. He completed 10 passes for 146 yards and one touchdown and also ran for 69 yards. Smlth's favorite target this week was Kyle Diener, who caught three passes for 47 yards.
Drew Spragg was the most productive running back in the league this week. He ran for 102 yards on four carries as Benjamin topped the Panthers. Johnston McKenna also contributed to the rushing game with 65 yards on the ground.
Elisha Daniels made the biggest impact on defense this week as Westminster Academy beat Coral Springs Charter. The freshman racked up two sacks.
On the ground, the Buccaneers' McKenna has rushed for 877 yards which leads the league. The leading receiver in the league this season is Nick Marill. The Coral Springs Charter star has 25 catches for 521 yards.
The top two teams in the league will face off this week when first place Pope John Paul II takes on second place Pine Crest. Last week, Pope John Paul II defeated Florida Christian, while the Panthers topped the Rams.
Benjamin extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating St. Andrew's, 43-12. This was the team's fifth consecutive win.
