It was a good run, but Community Christian unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Friday. They fell 72-64 to the Prior Lake Christian Royals.

Despite the loss, Community Christian saw an underclassman step up: freshman Brady Reinertson went 10 of 18 en route to 20 points and four steals. Reinertson is crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least two every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of David Mulder, who went 5 of 11 on his way to 13 points along with six rebounds and five steals.

Prior Lake Christian got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Elijah Wilson out in front who dropped a double-double on 29 points and ten boards. Noah Morgan was another key player, going 8 of 16 on his way to 20 points and five blocks.

Community Christian's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-2. As for Prior Lake Christian, the victory was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 6-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Community Christian will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on First Baptist at 6:45 p.m. on January 13, 2025. As for Prior Lake Christian, they will welcome Valley Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Prior Lake Christian is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 63.1 points per game this season.
