Northview's Losing Streak Is No More Thanks to Drew Beane

Drew Beane helped snap Northview's 16-game losing streak dating back to last season. Beane threw for 130 yards and two touchdowns on only ten passes, and also rushed for 33 yards and a touchdown, good enough for us to rate the performance as the best he's had all season long. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in rushing yards.

Northview's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-6. Beane and Northview will square off against Druid Hills at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

Thanks in part to Logan Kupfer, Northview said goodbye to their 16-game losing streak dating back to last season. Kupfer produced his best game of the campaign on Thursday: he rushed for 132 yards and a touchdown while picking up 7.8 yards per carry.

On the season, Kupfer has run in those 1 touchdown while averaging 58 rushing yards per game.

Jarquis Williams Delivers Best Effort of Season

On Friday, North Springs had to settle for second even though Jarquis Williams put up the best numbers he has all season. Williams made ten total tackles and defended a pass.

North Springs is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7. Williams and North Springs will look to defend their home field on Friday against Tucker at 7:30 p.m.

Gooding Posts Huge Game in 27-6 Victory

Rounding off our Top Five is Albert Gooding of Lithonia. Gooding rushed for 161 yards. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 107 rushing yards dating back to last season.

Lithonia is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season. Gooding and Lithonia will venture away from home to square off against St. Pius X Catholic at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
