Soccer Game Preview: McMinn Central vs. Chattanooga School for the Liberal Arts

The McMinn Central Chargers will head out to square off against the Chattanooga School for the Liberal Arts Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. McMinn Central is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 2.8 goals per game this season.

On Wednesday, McMinn Central needed a bit of extra time to put away Brainerd. While the 2-2 score might suggest a draw, it was the Chargers who were credited with the victory. McMinn Central got it done in the shootout by posting three goals to Brainerd's two. McMinn Central haven't had any issues with Brainerd recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

William Mayfield and Damian Jaimes scored both of McMinn Central's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 21 goals.

Chattanooga School for the Liberal Arts is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Cleveland just ended the team's eight-game winning streak on Thursday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Blue Raiders. The shutout was out of character for Chattanooga School for the Liberal Arts seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in March.

Chattanooga School for the Liberal Arts' defeat dropped their record down to 10-6-1. As for McMinn Central, they now have a winning record of 8-7-1.

McMinn Central suffered a grim 4-1 defeat to Chattanooga School for the Liberal Arts when the teams last played back in April. Can the Chargers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
