Baseball Game Preview: Milwaukee School of Languages Hawks vs. Milwaukee Riverside Tigers

For the second straight game, Milwaukee School of Languages will face off against Milwaukee Riverside. The Hawks are taking a road trip to challenge the Tigers at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Milwaukee School of Languages has five straight victories, Milwaukee Riverside has six straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Milwaukee School of Languages barely beat Milwaukee Riverside the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Hawks were the clear victors by an 8-1 margin over the Tigers on Tuesday. Considering the Hawks have won seven matches by more than six runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Anthony Barwick was excellent, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Samuel Crane, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Milwaukee School of Languages pushed their record up to 9-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.5 runs over those games. As for Milwaukee Riverside, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-5.
