Softball Recap: Scott Comes Up Short

Scott couldn't beat Southwestern Heights on Friday even though they stacked four runs on them in the seventh inning. The Beavers took an 11-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mustangs. The Beavers' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it seven in a row.

Crissa Irvin was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That home run was her first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Payton Gentry, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

Scott's record now sits at 4-11. As for Southwestern Heights, their win bumped their record up to 16-3.

While Scott had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
