Baseball Game Preview: Hudson Bluehawks vs. Greenville Spartans

The Hudson Bluehawks will head out on the road to challenge the Greenville Spartans at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Thursday just wasn't the day for Hudson's offense. They lost 8-0 to Coxsackie-Athens on Thursday. The matchup marked the first time this year in which the Bluehawks were not able to get on the board.

Hudson saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ryan Conte, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base.

Meanwhile, Greenville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They came up short against Coxsackie-Athens, falling 13-1.

Greenville's loss dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Hudson, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-5.

Hudson skirted past Greenville 2-1 in their previous matchup back in April. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bluehawks since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
