Softball Recap: Martin Tigers vs. Juarez-Lincoln Huskies

Martin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 21st straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 19-1 to the Juarez-Lincoln Huskies. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Huskies this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 15-0 back in February.

Martin saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jennifer Mosqueda, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two stolen bases. Those two stolen bases gave Mosqueda a new career-high. Jovahana Torres also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Martin's loss dropped their record down to 0-20. As for Juarez-Lincoln, their record is now 10-5.

Martin wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 16-2 defeat against Mission Veterans Memorial on the 25th. As for Juarez-Lincoln, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 3-1 loss against Palmview on the 25th.
