League recap: Winston Academy's Wall delivers best pitching performance from past week

MAIS AA District 2 league recap: 4/3/13

Channing Wall was the top pitcher in MAIS AA District 2 this week, leading Winston Academy. He racked up ten strike outs this week.

Canton Academy (6-0 in the league play, 9-7 overall) and Oak Hill Academy (1-0, 3-0) are locked in a battle atop the standings of the league. Over the past week, the Panthers was 2-2 and the Raiders went 0-0.

The Patriots boasted the best pitching over the past week, holding opponents to the league's fewest hits and issuing the fewest walks.

Jacob Fedducia's .600 batting average (6-for-10) for Canton Academy was the best in the league this week. He's batting .458 on the year, which puts him at fifth in the league. Fedducia has totaled 11 hits this season.

The Panthers' Fedducia finished his week with six hits, the best slugger in the league. On the season, he's hitting .458 and ranks ninth in the league with 11 hits.



Wall struck out ten in Canton Academy's 4-2 win over Winston Academy on March 26. He gave up four hits and four runs over seven innings of work.
