Basketball Recap: Liberty County Snaps Ten-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Liberty County suffered their biggest defeat since January 18, 2024 on Saturday. They came up short against the Franklin County Seahawks, falling 59-34. The contest marked the Bulldogs' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Ja'Michael Miller went supernova for Franklin County, dropping a double-double on 15 points and 11 rebounds. Miller is trending in the right direction considering he's improved his point production for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Braelin Morris, who posted 12 points in addition to five boards and four steals.

Liberty County's loss ended a ten-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 15-3. As for Franklin County, their victory bumped their record up to 13-8.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Liberty County will take on Blountstown at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Blountstown is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 56.4 points per game this season. As for Franklin County, they will face off against Mosley at 8:00 p.m. on Friday.
