Baseball Recap: Newbury Park Comes Up Short

Newbury Park was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 6-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Thousand Oaks Lancers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Panthers of the 11-5 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Newbury Park saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Andrew Vega, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Newbury Park's loss dropped their record down to 7-10. As for Thousand Oaks, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-9.

While Newbury Park had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
