Volleyball Recap: Carlisle Takes a Loss

Carlisle was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Hawkins Hawks. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Hawks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-1 last Saturday.

Carlisle's offense was headlined by Hayden Curry and Zoey Poncho, who picked up three kills apiece. They got some help from Makayla Holcomb and her nine assists.

Carlisle's defeat dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Hawkins, their victory bumped their record up to 3-5.

Coming up, Carlisle will head out to face off against Cushing at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hawkins, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 win against Bishop Gorman on the 23rd.
