Basketball Recap: Memorial Day Comes Up Short

Memorial Day was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against the Citizens Christian Academy Patriots, falling 71-47. The Matadors lost against the Patriots in their previous head to head back in February of 2018, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 58-55 score last time.

Memorial Day's defeat dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Citizens Christian Academy, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-7.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Robert Toombs Christian Academy the next time they take the court. Citizens Christian Academy will host Robert Toombs Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, while Memorial Day will host them at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
