West Carteret is a perfect 10-0 against White Oak since March of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. West Carteret will be playing at home against White Oak at 6:00 p.m. West Carteret will come into the game with an undefeated record on the line.
On Monday, West Carteret made easy work of Swansboro and carried off an 11-1 win. With that victory, the Patriots brought their scoring average up to 6.2 runs per game.
Caitlin Dumarce spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on one hit and racked up 15 Ks. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in nine consecutive appearances.

At the plate, West Carteret let Saylor Gray and Ella Grace Rodriguez run wild. Gray fired off two home runs, three runs, and three RBI while going 3-for-4, while Rodriguez got on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Those three runs gave Gray a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaelyn Margoupis, who scored two runs while going 3-for-4.
West Carteret always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .516. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Swansboro only posted an OBP of .208.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask White Oak). Everything went their way against Northside - Jacksonville on Monday as White Oak made off with a 30-4 win. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Vikings considering their two-run performance the contest before.
Malaysia Curtis was incredible, scoring four runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all five of her plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Ashley Jaeger, who scored four runs while getting on base in all five of her plate appearances.
West Carteret's victory was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 11-0. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.1 runs over those games. As for White Oak, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-5.
West Carteret took their win against White Oak when the teams last played back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 12-1. Will West Carteret repeat their success, or does White Oak has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
