Football Recap: Martinsville Takes a Loss

If Martinsville was feeling good fresh off their 42-16 takedown of Dugger Union last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Bluestreaks took a 46-36 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Milford/Cissna Park Bearcats on Saturday. The Bluestreaks were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bearcats apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in November of 2024.

Martinsville's defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Milford/Cissna Park, the win keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Coming up, Martinsville is taking a road trip to square off against Blue Ridge/DeLand-Weldon at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Milford/Cissna Park, they will be playing at home against Pawnee/Lincolnwood at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Pawnee/Lincolnwood's defense has only allowed 9.2 points per game this season, so Milford/Cissna Park's offense will have their work cut out for them.
