Football Game Preview: Sherrard Tigers vs. Kewanee Boilermakers + How To Watch

Sherrard hasn't had much luck against Kewanee recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Tigers will head out on the road to challenge the Boilermakers at 7:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Sherrard is headed into the matchup out to prove that what happened against Monmouth-Roseville on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Tigers were beaten by the Titans 49-13. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois football rankings (they are ranked 450th, while the Titans are ranked 137th).

Meanwhile, Kewanee scored the most points they've had this season on Friday, but it wasn't enough. They were outmatched by Mendota and fell 45-13.

Sherrard's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Kewanee, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 0-6.

Sherrard was taken down by Kewanee 48-6 when the teams last played back in October of 2024. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Tigers were down 33-0.
