Softball Preview: Louise Hornets vs. Schulenburg Shorthorns

Louise has enjoyed the comforts of home their last four games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will challenge the Schulenburg Shorthorns at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Louise fell victim to Shiner and their airtight pitching crew two weeks ago. They suffered a tough 23-0 loss at the hands of the Comanches.

Meanwhile, in what's become a running theme this season, Schulenburg gave their fans yet another huge win on Friday. They were the clear victor by an 11-3 margin over Bloomington. The high-scoring effort was just what Schulenburg needed considering they were shutout in their previous match.

Kinley Tillery was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off three hits. Tillery was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing four bases while going 3-for-3. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now stolen at least one in the last four games she's played.

Louise dropped their record down to 0-8 with that defeat, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Schulenburg, their record is now 13-11.
