Baseball Game Preview: Western Alamance Warriors vs. Cedar Ridge Fighting Red Wolves

Western Alamance is 1-6 against Cedar Ridge since April of 2022 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Warriors will be playing at home against the Fighting Red Wolves at 6:00 p.m.

Monday just wasn't the day for Western Alamance's offense. They came up short against Southern Alamance on Monday, falling 10-0. The game marked the first time this season in which the Warriors were not able to get on the board.

Southern Alamance typically has all the answers at home, but on Thursday Cedar Ridge proved too difficult a challenge. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-4 win over the Patriots. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Fighting Red Wolves have posted since March 14th.

Cedar Ridge pushed their record up to 9-11 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games. As for Western Alamance, their loss dropped their record down to 11-10.

Western Alamance came out on top in a nail-biter against Cedar Ridge when the teams last played on April 8th, sneaking past 6-5. Do the Warriors have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Fighting Red Wolves turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
