Basketball Recap: Ethan Burge Key Part of a Team Effort in Bombers Win

Kenston won the last time they faced Lake Catholic and things went their way on Monday too. The Kenston Bombers walked away with a 62-53 win over the Lake Catholic Cougars. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bombers.

Kenston got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Ethan Burge out in front who went 6 of 9 on his way to 15 points and seven rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Samuel Rogers, who went 5 of 9 on his way to 12 points along with eight rebounds and three steals.

When it comes to explaining why Lake Catholic lost, don't look at Aiden Webb. Despite the final result, he posted 14 points. Frankie Trinetti was another key player, putting up four points and four steals.

Kenston's record now sits at 4-5. As for Lake Catholic, their defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 5-2.

Kenston will challenge North at 7:30 p.m. on January 7th. North knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three matches -- so hopefully Kenston likes a good challenge. As for Lake Catholic, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 70-54 loss against Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy on the 3rd.
