Softball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Unionville

Unionville waltzed into their contest on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They blew past the Sun Valley Vanguards 15-2. The Longhorns have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Vanguards, too.

Peyton Brown spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on four hits and racked up six Ks. Those six strikeouts set a new season-high mark for her.

At the plate, Gracie Brun was a standout: she went 3-for-5 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Cambrie Bouchard, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-6.

Unionville was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .439. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Unionville's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 3-2.
