Football Recap: North Lincoln Comes Up Short Despite Angel Outlaw's Big Defensive Game

North Lincoln had lost four straight at home, but on Friday they dropped down to 1-7 to make it five. They lost 47-23 to the Bandys Trojans. The Knights were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Trojans apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2021.

When it comes to explaining why North Lincoln lost, don't look at Landen Agee. Despite the final result, he rushed for 216 yards and a pair of touchdowns while picking up 9.4 yards per carry. Agee was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 60 yards.

Even if they lost, North Lincoln's defensive line still kept up the pressure with three sacks. Leading the way was Angel Outlaw with two. He also set a new season-high mark in total tackles with eight.

As for Bandys, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-3. Their offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Bandys' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Tanner Stewart, who rushed for 163 yards and two TDs while picking up 7.1 yards per carry. With that strong performance, Stewart is now averaging an impressive 106.7 rushing yards per game. Ryder McClure also helped with two scores in total.

North Lincoln will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Bunker Hill at 7:30 p.m. on the 24th. As for Bandys, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 41-34 defeat against Maiden on the 17th.
