Recap: Portola Tigers vs. Ferndale Wildcats
The Portola Tigers and the Ferndale Wildcats squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but sadly the Portola Tigers had to settle for second. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 32-7 walloping at the hands of the Wildcats. Portola's defeat signaled the end of their 12-game winning streak.
Portola's defeat dropped their record down to 12-1. As for Ferndale, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season.
Portola does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Ferndale will square off against Fairfax at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Fairfax's defense has only allowed 17.6 points per game this season, so Ferndale's offense will have their work cut out for Ferndale.
