Volleyball Recap: Cadott Comes Up Short

After flying high against Thorp last Tuesday, Cadott came back down to earth. The Hornets came up short against the Stanley-Boyd Orioles on Tuesday, falling 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Hornets have suffered since October 22, 2024.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-15, 25-10.

Haley Mathison paced Cadott's offense, picking up 11 kills. Mathison got some help from Karlee Davis and her 14 assists.

Cadott has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-6 record this season. As for Stanley-Boyd, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 24-3.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Cadott will take on rival Elk Mound at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Stanley-Boyd is set to challenge their familiar foe Fall Creek at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday.
