Basketball Recap: Lawson Comes Up Short

Lawson was the 43-32 winner over West Platte when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. The Lawson Cardinals took a 38-29 hit to the loss column at the hands of the West Platte Bluejays on Friday. The contest marked the Cardinals' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Lawson's defeat dropped their record down to 20-5. As for West Platte, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-9 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Cardinals duke it out with the Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. North Platte will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Lawson surely won't give up without a fight. As for West Platte, they will challenge DeKalb at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
