The Iona Prep Gaels will face off against the Darien Blue Wave at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Iona Prep is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.

Iona Prep had won ten straight road games dating back to last season and Jacob Chiu did his part to make it 11 on Tuesday. The Gaels had just enough and edged out Xavier 3-2 with plenty of help from Chiu, who had eight digs and five aces. He is on a roll when it comes to aces, as he's now served two or more in each of the last three games he's played.
Iona Prep took Xavier into a fifth set where they got it done with a 11-point win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 20-25, 25-17, 25-14, 21-25, 15-4.
Iona Prep's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Patrick York, who had four digs and four aces, and Christian Vega, who had 11 digs and ten kills.
They weren't the only good server: Iona Prep was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 12 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces every time they've taken the court this season.
Meanwhile, Darien lost 3-0 to Farmington on Saturday.
While Darien was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-16, 25-22.
Iona Prep's win bumped their record up to 7-0. As for Darien, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.
