Softball Recap: Maple Hill Snaps Eight-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Maple Hill came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 10-1 to the Troy Flying Horses. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Wildcats have suffered since April 29, 2024.

Maple Hill saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Quinn Wilson, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

Maple Hill's loss ended an eight-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-5. As for Troy, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 12-5.

Maple Hill and Troy should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps New York Rankings. The Wildcats will challenge Watervliet at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday with a big rank advantage (207 vs. 468). Meanwhile, Troy (ranked 118th) will meet Mohonasen (ranked 448th) at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
