Lake View came tearing into Friday's match with 12 straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5.6 goals), and they left with even more momentum. Their defense stepped up to hand the Greenwood Rangers an 8-0 shutout. Considering the Chiefs have won ten games by more than two goals this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Lake View pushed their record up to 14-1 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those seven contests. As for Greenwood, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-12.

Coming up, Lake View will head out to face off against Andrews at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Lake View knows how to get goals on the board -- the team has finished with four goals or more in their past seven matches -- so hopefully Andrews likes a good challenge. As for Greenwood, they will challenge Estacado at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
